ⓘ Bowl games Les équipes de football des universités américaines s'affrontent dans un championnat amateur consistant en une série de matchs, les college bowl games. Ces matchs doivent leur nom à la forme particulière ( bowl) du stade où ils sont joués. Chacun d'entre eux est en général associé à une ville américaine: le Cotton Bowl à Dallas, le Sugar Bowl à New Orleans, le Orange Bowl à Miami, etc. Le Superbowl, finale du championnat professionnel, a lieu chaque année dans une ville différente.
